¡¡¡¡This winter is a rare ¡°cold winter¡±that hasn't been seen 26 years, but as Nanjing's rainfall has been below average at least it can't be called a ¡°sodden winter¡±£¬the Jiangsu Climate Center said on Monday.
¡¡¡¡According to statistics, during this winter the average temperature for Jiangsu Province has been 2.9¡æ, 0.7¡æ below the annual winter average. From 1986-1987 onward winter averages in Jiangsu have slowly been on the rise, with over 20 of those years having highs above the normal average, 12 of those years classified as ¡°warm winters¡±.With that in mind, a slight drop in temperatures for Jiangsu this winter truly can be called a recent 26-year rarity.
¡¡¡¡The long drawn out winter has no sign of ending. The forecast for Wednesday onward still has a weak cold front in store for Nanjing, slowly bringing temperatures down to the point where after about Friday lows in Nanjing may once more very well drop to around1¡æ.
