The Jiangsu Qinhuai Lantern Festival for 2012 will be held at Confucius Temple Qinhuai Scenic area from Jan. 19 to Feb. 9,and the3rd Jiangsu-Taiwan Lantern Festival will also be held during this time,the Qinhuai Tourism Bureau said on Wednesday.

　　This year's Qinhuai Lantern Festival will again be held at Confucius Temple Qinhuai Scenic area. The festival will cover a total area of nearly 3 square kilometers inside the city and feature over 100 mid to large sized lantern displays, as well as more than 40,000 smaller lanterns exhibited across 5 large display areas.

　　As for the Jiangsu-Taiwan Lantern Festival, both areas will be exchanging lantern displays for exhibition. Two of Nanjing's Qinhuai lantern decorators will give Taiwanese spectators four large lantern displays, focusing on bringing out the motif“Confucius Temple, Old Nanjing”.Taiwan for its part will be bringing one large display to Nanjing, its theme being “The Ascent of the Dragon God”.
